  • Interview went as described, HR portion seemed to go pretty well. Technical portion got me on a couple of things -- RVR range on a METAR, $ sign on a METAR... and when asked about what point the FAF on an ILS was, I goofed and said "xyz waypoint" rather than the correct answer which is GS intercept at specified altitude. Last little mistake was when defining a stable approach, I started listing off all the detailed ways that you could...

I only had 15 minutes of HR and 15 minutes of technical. The HR questions were just about qualities that I possess and would benefit me as a FO. Other things about why Republic and why aviation. From the technical side all of my questions came from a METAR/TAF from KORD and ILS 28 at KORD. Briefing the plate, weather at a certain time from TAF and whether I'd need an alternate or not. Look at 121.651 I had multiple questions from that...

I had very little professional experience. Just like a check-ride I learned to be myself and come well prepared. The interview was short and sweet. A few HR questions followed by a short technical portion. If you know your stuff, the technical portion is pretty easy. I got asked a lot of runway lighting questions, but was prepared because of this...

The interview was very much similar to the guides available on this site. Started with general HR questions regarding eligibility to work in the U.S., why Republic, etc. Asked a few questions regarding the company ie. what aircraft they fly, how many aircraft, bases, code share partners, etc. From there we moved into the technical portion. All of the questions were things seen on the guides on this site. Asked to read a metar and taf. Asked to brief the ILS 28C to KORD, as well as questions...

The interviewers joined right on time. There was an HR person and a captain from Republic. They started off by asking me a few very simple questions like what my total flight time was, if I could work in the United States, any FAA violations, etc. After that they asked me some TMAAT questions, list questions (strengths/weaknesses), and a hypothetical situation where a captain was not following SOPs. The HR portion lasted maybe 15 minutes and then we moved onto the technical portion. If you...

Follow the study guide and be strong with instrument knowledge. Approach plate knowledge is where about half of your technical questions will come from. Make sure you are comfortable with answering questions about each section of a Jeppesen...

The overall interview was great, swift, professional, and in a comfortable environment. It started with the HR questions. They were your typical HR questions like aviation background, checkride failures(If you have any, make sure you have a good answer for what you gained from it), what makes a good FO, how would you describe and use CRM, and how do you address an issue in the aircraft. Next was the Technical portion. The pilot in this portion said to keep the answers short and to the point,...

It was a very calm interview. Of course, I was nervous before, but I felt very prepared after spending time working with this site. I read every single question and was only asked about 20 of them. It started with the HR, then lead into the technical questions. I've heard peers hearing back in 2+ weeks, but I heard back several days...

Very straight forward. It went as expected. 15 min HR and 15min with the pilot. All the questions asked were on the study guide. Nothing too in depth, and the pilot was rapid firing questions back to back. Be prepared to ask some questions to them at the end. They made the whole interview go smooth and called me back the next...

Very Straight forward. Introductions then into HR portion, (view the study guide of this website).  Then the Technical portion, we start with a METAR then went to a TAF, then they had me read a Jepp Chart, Then they started asking questions about my aircraft such as describe the fuel system etc., A few aerodynamics question that were on the study guide, Fuel requirements, and standard IFR regulations. Over all was a very relaxed and welcoming environment, felt like 20...

The reviews were helpful and open-ended, which was good. They were specific and I wouldn’t have done well in the interview without it.
